ID Jane is a comprehensive identification system designed to bring peace of mind and security to our clients. Built on a visual-based approach, it assigns a unique, customized image to each individual. This familiar visual serves as a consistent identifier, making it easily recognizable to caregivers, patients, family members, and staff. By streamlining identification, ID Jane helps reduce confusion and frustration, creating a more organized and efficient system for care facilities.
As Wayne Dyer once said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” This perspective is at the heart of ID Jane’s mission, providing invaluable support to patients during life transitions.
When a patient moves into a care facility while facing cognitive challenges like dementia or Alzheimer’s, their perception of the change plays a crucial role in their adjustment. Rather than viewing the facility as an unfamiliar or clinical setting, we aim to transform the experience for both patients and their families.
ID Jane fosters a sense of familiarity, warmth, and home through its recognition system. By integrating personalized image recognition into living spaces, we strive to create a secure and comforting environment for each patient.
Customizable living space options include:
Personalized items are a growing trend, but they also present a valuable organizational solution for care facilities. Customizing personal belongings with a single, familiar image makes it easier for caregivers to identify ownership while providing patients with a sense of comfort and security through visual consistency.
ID Jane also offers a unique feature for family members, allowing them to purchase gifts or special items while maintaining the same recognizable image. To simplify this process, we can set up a dedicated family member portal for ordering and purchasing. Depending on the item, customization options include vinyl, screen printing, patches, or embroidery.

High turnover and rotating shifts are well-known challenges in the medical industry. These factors often create communication gaps and confusion during transitions, which can lead to patient agitation, misplaced items, and potential errors in care.
The ID Jane system helps reduce these challenges by providing patients with a sense of consistency and security through its unique, single-image recognition approach. While staff may change, the patient’s familiar image remains constant, offering reassurance within their living space and daily routine.
ID Jane also streamlines processes for caregivers. New staff members can quickly learn and recognize each patient by their assigned image, improving organization and reducing the risk of misplaced or mixed-up belongings. This system is not meant to replace existing numbered identification methods but to enhance them by adding a visual recognition element.
Additionally, the image-based system can extend to staff by incorporating embroidered or screen-printed scrubs featuring an image of their choice. The possibilities are endless, and we are continually expanding the system to offer even more innovative solutions.
Laundry services are a vital part of any care facility, ensuring that each patient’s belongings are properly handled and returned to the right person. ID Jane enhances this process by taking identification to the next level.
Building on the concept of a familiar, personalized image assigned to each patient, we apply this image through heat sealing, heat dye transfer, stamping, patching, screen printing, or embroidery. This ensures easy recognition and minimizes lost or misplaced items.
Examples of laundry service items include:

Improper sterilization and laundering can create an environment where bacteria thrive. In care facilities, exposure to bodily fluids is common, making proper cleaning and sanitation essential to prevent contamination and maintain a safe, hygienic space.
We are excited to soon offer a full range of laundry services, including pickup, professional cleaning, and drop-off. Additionally, hypoallergenic options will be available to accommodate sensitive needs.
WANDA JANE
"Ma Housch" (1925 - 2013)
Ma Housch, the beloved mother-in-law of ID Jane founder Robin Housch, was a kind, compassionate, and spirited woman. She embodied warmth, fairness, and generosity, always treating others with kindness—even in challenging times. A devoted wife, mother of six, and grandmother to eleven, Ma Housch left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Ma Housch will always be remembered as a symbol of peace and simplicity—like a gentle breeze drifting over a quiet creek, a porch swing swaying slowly as time seems to stand still. She found joy in life’s quiet moments, sitting on her porch swing, listening to the babbling brook, praying, and sharing heartfelt conversations. Her faith and warmth touched everyone around her, leaving a lasting legacy of love and serenity.
At the vibrant age of 83, Ma Housch suffered a hip fracture from a fall. Despite having a loving family ready to assist her, she chose to enter a care facility, prioritizing the well-being of those she loved. Her selfless nature shone through, as she didn’t want to disrupt their lives when a facility could provide the care she needed.
While in the care facility, Ma Housch faced a battle with pneumonia and required a feeding tube. Thanks to attentive care, she made a full recovery. However, during her stay, the daily routines and busy environment led to confusion and the misplacement of some of her personal belongings.
The loss of Ma Housch’s personal items inspired Robin Housch, founder of ID Jane, to recognize the need for better organization and identification in care facilities. By implementing a system focused on recognition, ID Jane helps reduce frustration for family members and caregivers while providing patients with a greater sense of security and comfort.
Robin developed ID Jane not only with Ma Housch in mind but also drawing from her own firsthand experience working in care facilities. Over six years in the field, she dedicated significant time to organizing and ensuring patient belongings were correctly placed. Through this work, she saw how staff turnover often led to misplaced items, wasted time, and challenges in maintaining organization—insights that ultimately shaped the creation of ID Jane.
